We believe that families are uniquely positioned to advocate for the best interests of our students. Wee support inspiring and passionate parent/guardian leaders like you to organize family demand for quality schools. We also work with you to develop your understanding of effective schools and offer valuable information to help you support your child’s education.

Hear from some of our graduates about their experience in the program:
“I came to GO Fresno so that I could learn how to be a parent leader and help my children and my community. I learned how to advocate for my children in a way that is respectful and professional and also how to organize with other parents to make the changes we need”
-Viana Gonzalez, Family Leaders Program Graduate

Family Leaders Action Group
After graduating several groups of parents through the Family Leaders Program, we found that many of the alumni wanted to continue to work, togather toward improving student outcomes in Fresno. So the Family Leaders Action Group (FLAG) was formed! These committed family leaders meet 1-2 times a month to plan, organize, and strategize and also learn together about the issues facing Fresno’s schools. Stay tuned for more information about the work of FLAG as the school year progresses!
We’ve recently welcomed to our team two leaders from this group as the first Family Leaders Action Group interns!
