  1. What gives you excitement?
    •  Seeing my daughters learning and excelling in  their education.
  1. What keeps you up at night?
    • Not being able to be physically present for my daughters. However, I know that everything we go through in life is to help us keep learning.
  2. What gives you hope?
    • Having the opportunity to be a part of my daughter’s education despite our circumstances. Knowing that God has special plans, and no matter how far I am right now from being physically present with them I  trust God. He has amazing plans for our family as he does for all families that go through various circumstances everyday. Hope helps us keep thriving and educating ourselves to achieve our goals.
  3. If you could wave your magic wand, what is the first thing you would change or add?
    • If I had a magic wand, the first thing I would do is to reunite our family.
  4. More about Julie’s  journey
    • GO Fresno has been part of my education journey. Many of the people that are part of GO Fresno have always been supportive and encouraging. I feel inspired every time I participate in the workshops. I have  seen many of us as a community learning and educating ourselves, lifting each other up integrating the knowledge and experience of our educators.  GO has been a personal growth in many areas of my life, a strong foundation where I feel the sky is the limit to keep encouraging and motivating my daughters. I am really grateful for having a support system especially during the period when our family was navigating Special Education with one of our daughters, knowing that there were kind individuals that are knowledgeable about various topics that were always willing to give us a hand.
