- What gives you excitement?
- Whenever I, or Organizacion Las Panchas is able to help someone. Whenever I know that we have left someone off better than they started that gives me true joy and excitement.
- What keeps you up at night?
- That there’s not enough hours in the day for me to finish my work. Also I have to say all the problems we have in Fresno, for example Housing, homeless, the problems with alcohol, drugs in general all the addictions and crime in general. Something that I’ve worried about a lot that often goes overlooked for many people, is our foster youth.
- What gives you hope?
- The future. I understand that much of our education system is flawed. I’ve seen many children fall through the cracks of this system and end up in the wrong place, I however have seen many kids prosper through adversity against all odds and achieve much more than their situation should’ve allowed them. I think that there are plenty of people in the world who want to see more success stories and Organizacion Las Panchas is one of many groups that wants to help as many of these children succeed in whatever their dreams may be.
- If you could wave your magic wand, what is the first thing you would change or add?
- Cliché but world peace and I think something very much overlooked would be for everyone to understand each other. If everyone is on the same page there’s almost nothing we as whole can’t accomplish.
