At GO Public Schools, we recently celebrated the success of our Family Leadership Program (FLP), where parents from diverse backgrounds come together to learn, grow and connect. This six-session program is designed to empower parents to become strong leaders and deepen their educational advocacy skills.

To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, the program was offered in both English and Spanish. These sessions provided parents with opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions and gain valuable insights.

The Family Leadership Program concluded with a memorable in-person graduation day celebration at the United Way Center. This special event brought together participating families and GO team members, allowing parents who had connected virtually to finally meet face-to-face. Graduation day was not only a time to honor participants’ accomplishments but also an opportunity to build connections, address any remaining questions or concerns, and share personal experiences.

At GO, we are so proud of the community fostered through this program and deeply grateful to all the leaders who participated. We look forward to continuing to offer opportunities like this to support and uplift our families. Thank you to our families who are an essential part of our mission at GO Public Schools.
