GO Transformers: Launched and Ready for Change
GO Fresno’s Transformers Roll Out with 19 Inaugural Fellows
Across our GO Fresno network, we know that our children’s futures depend on great educators, which is why the GO Fresno staff is excited to help support the development of 19 Fresno-area educators through our GO Transformers Fellowship.
GO Fresno’s first educator fellowship invites committed professionals in the field to explore innovative school practices and to design a school model to prepare today’s young Fresnans to thrive in tomorrow’s realities. With only 33 percent of our students showing proficiency in ELA, and 24 percent at level in Math and the world that our young people will walk into changing dramatically, the time to think differently about our school models is now.
Our GO Transformers will explore the changing realities of the world our young people will walk into, will explore school models inside of and outside of Fresno that are adapting to these realities and will take a first stab at designing a coherent school model developed to meet the needs of all of our students.
We are excited to learn alongside a great first cohort of educators, who represent the diversity of our city and a diversity of roles.
GO is committed to developing and supporting leaders across the city, both in and out of the classroom. Our GO Transformers will join alongside 26 family leader graduates from the fall and another 30+ who will begin their fellowship this spring.
